How to Register

    • There are four easy ways to register for the courses to get CEU credit (Continuing Education Unit):

      • By Phone: Call (608) 262-1397 to register by phone.
        (Please have your billing or payment method information ready.)
      • By Mail: Complete the online registration form, print it and send it along with payment to
        The Pyle Center, Attn: Kathy Kneebone, 702 Langdon Street, Madison, WI 53706.
      • By Fax: Complete the online registration form and fax it to The Pyle Center at (608) 265-3163.
    • All CEU registrations are confirmed in writing. If you do not receive a confirmation, please call (608) 262-1397.

Graduate Level Academic

Choose this registration option if you are currently enrolled in a graduate-level certificate or degree program at the University of Wisconsin, or you have been formally admitted to a graduate-level program for Summer 2008.

Continuing Education Options

AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™

Provided for the Infectious Diseases course only.

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health designates this educational activity for a maximum of 15 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Accreditation Statement

The University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Policy on Faculty and Sponsor Disclosure

As a sponsor accredited by the ACCME, it is the policy of the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health to require the disclosure of the existence of any significant financial interest or any other relationship a faculaty member or a sponsor has with either the eommercial supporter(s) of this activity or the Manufacturer(s) of any commercial product(s) discussed in an educational presentation. Detailed disclosure will be made in the course handout materials.

Nursing Continuing Education

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Continuing Education in Nursing is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

Iowa Provider Number: 350

The University of Wisconsin-Madison Continuing Education in Nursing awards 15 ANCC (60 min.) contact hours for successful completion of each course as determined by full attendance and satisfactory completion of all evaluative materials. For Iowa credit, the award is 18 (50 min.) contact hours.

Continuing Education Units

The University of Wisconsin-Madison, as a member of the University Continuing Education Association (UCEA), authorizes this program for 1.5 continuing education units (CEU's) for each course taken (15 hours of class time). A program completion report stating the number of educational hours/credits earned will be sent. Allow 4-6 weeks for delivery.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

  • If you are registered as a continuing education participant, to cancel your registration please call The Pyle Center at
    (608) 262-1397, or fax your request to (608) 265-3163. To receive reimbursement, you must contact us at least 3 weeks in advance of the start of the course you are cancelling. A non-refundable administrative fee of $50 will be charged. Cancellation after three weeks is non-refundable.
  • In the event of course cancellation, a complete refund of fees paid will be made. The University of Wisconsin is not responsible for participant housing or travel expenses.
